Senior Adults
Senior adults are in a stage of life that presents unique challenges and distinctive opportunities for spiritual growth. The church must recognize senior adults as the key to leadership and meeting ministry needs.
Our Senior Adult Ministries are specifically designed to help you grow in your faith, in your relationships, and in your ministry. You will be trained to use your gifts, talents, and abilities to serve the Lord as you should.
In addition to our Senior Adult Bible Fellowships, we have special activities, LIFE classes, outreach ministries, and fun events for our senior adults throughout the year. If you have any questions or would like additional information, please feel free to call on me.
Vernon Ritchie,
Pastor of Senior Adults
Wednesday Morning Worship:
The Wednesday Morning Worship group meets at 10:00 am. We begin with a time of prayer, followed by a Bible study and discussion. After our worship, there is a time of fellowship with donuts and coffee. The first Wednesday of each month we have a lunch following the worship service at no cost to you.
Senior Adult Activities:
Our social activities include coffee and donuts following every Wednesday Morning worship service, a meal the first Wednesday of every month, a Thanksgiving Dinner, and a Christmas Party. We normally take four out of town trips each year. In 2003, we went to Callaway Gardens, the Air Force museum, and the Smith House and Apple Barn in north Georgia. Other activities have included fish fries, trips to Lake Sinclair and Lake Jackson, and trips to the Bulloch House in Warms Springs.
